Waters Edge Enterprises, Inc was started in 2002 by Dave & DJ Roeser. The first building purchased is in Arden Hills, MN and housed their growing business.
In 2003, having out grown the Arden Hills facility, Waters Edge purchased the Maplewood, MN building. This 20,200 sq. ft. facility was split into two postal addresses to coincide with two different businesses, manufacturing and sales/distribution. The Maplewood facility was 5,000 sq. ft. of commercial kitchen which became the home of Turtle Popcorn. In 2009 those businesses moved on and the building became an indoor farm and incubator kitchen for food start up companies. Today the Maplewood building is a very diverse building with several start ups and languages spoken. The grounds were planted with perm-culture from cherry trees, raspberry bushes, rhubarb, and asparagus. Inside, sprouts and microgreens are grown year round and a CSA/Food Hub is operational.
